Rohini Sinha
CEO/FOUNDER
Rohini Sinha, the visionary founder of House of Jayanti, embarked on a journey to preserve and promote the rich heritage of Indian textiles, inspired by her grandmother's passion and her own love for design. With a Master's degree in Politics and International Relations, Rohini's career path took an unexpected turn, leading her to embrace her creative side and carry forward her grandmother's legacy.
A Journey of Passion and Purpose
"My most cherished experiences have been my travels to remote parts of India to connect with weavers," shares Rohini. "These encounters have allowed me to gain invaluable insights into their lives, their challenges, and the unique cultural heritage embedded in their craft." By sourcing directly from these artisans, Rohini aims to empower them and ensure their contributions are recognized and celebrated.
Brand Story
House of Jayanti is a tribute to Rohini's beloved grandmother, Jayanti, whose love for storytelling, Rabindra Sangeet, and needlework shaped her granddaughter's aspirations. The brand's name and logo, a red bindi with a white thread, symbolize the enduring bond between the two and the unity of India's diverse heritage.
Brand Vision
"Our vision is to create a space where the exquisite beauty of sarees from different states can converge, offering a curated collection that celebrates the diversity and craftsmanship of India's textile traditions," explains Rohini. "We aim to empower the artisans who create these masterpieces, ensuring their stories are told and their contributions are recognized. By supporting them, we're not just preserving heritage but also contributing to the economic well-being of local communities."
